How To Become a Certified RCFE Administrator
Do you want to work at a residential care facility for the elderly? If so, you will probably need an RCFE administrator certification and license, depending on your state. There are some standard requirements for receiving certification. High School Diploma You must have a high school diploma at a minimum for licensing consideration through the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards. You will also need at least two years of relevant work experience, meaning that you should find jobs in assisted living homes or communities. Associates Degree or Better If you are pursuing an RCFE certification after college, then the stipulations change a little. If you have an associate’s degree or better, in a relevant discipline, then your work experience requirements are reduced. For example, candidates with an associate’s only need 18 months of experience as opposed to two years.
