How Do I Become an RCFE Administrator?



If you are interested in becoming an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) administrator, you must first receive your RCFE certification. Depending on your state, there are various steps you may be required to take in the process of becoming certified.

Obtain Bachelor’s Degree or Complete a Program

Before you can become RCFE certified, some states require you to have a bachelor’s degree. Often, your state will allow you to choose between several fields of study that could help you as an RCFE administrator. Business, health administration and accounting courses can help you improve your skill set and can teach you relevant information that could be helpful to you as an RCFE administrator.
